I renounce the need to explain my life.

I release the habit of lament.

I lay down the questions that steal breath.

You know the gorges.

You know the narrow ledges.

Carry me through without my knowing.

Teach me the haste of hope.

Teach me the blindness of trust.

Let me walk without looking down.

If there is loss let it be quiet.

If there is affliction let it be mute.

Let nothing speak to me but You.

I ask for no sign.

I seek no reassurance.

I desire no outcome.
