Jesus

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God,

Your Name has become my one solace.

When my heart is heavy

and every other word fails,

let me cling to Your Name.

I do not ask to see the way ahead.

I do not ask to understand what You are doing.

Only keep me near You.

When I cannot pray,

let Your Name be my prayer.

When I cannot find rest,

let Your Name be my rest.

When everything else is taken away,

leave me this one treasure:

Jesus.

Let me hold Your Name in my heart

until I discover that it is You

who have been holding me all along.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God,

have mercy on me.
